About Us

Transport

´óÏó´«Ã½ is committed to encouraging safe and sustainable travel, by identifying transport challenges and issues, and developing innovative solutions.

The School has a travel plan in place which is designed to provide parents, pupils and staff with the information and tools they need to travel to and from the School in the safest and most sustainable ways. Key objectives and initiatives include reducing traffic and promoting sustainable travel, the use of the HomeRun app to facilitate carpooling, the operation of a home-to-school transport service in conjunction with Zeelo (from September 2025) and the use of the Zeelo travel app (also from September 2025). The Zeelo app provides parents with up-to-date information on where vehicles are located (tracking) and when their child boards and disembarks a vehicle (monitoring).
Our 2025-26 route map is shown below. In addition, alternative routes are available through our partnership with The Stephen Perse Foundation. Further information on their routes can be found . Please note that for St Faith’s children travelling on a route offered by The Stephen Perse Foundation, their pick-up/drop-off point will be either The Stephen Perse Senior School or Junior School. A child must therefore be able to walk independently to or from St Faith’s at the beginning or end of the school day.

The school also collaborates with other schools in Cambridge through the Independent Schools’ Travel Forum to share transport routes and promote sustainable travel.

A simplified transport map shows bus routes from Royston and Saffron Walden to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Cambridge, with labeled stops and three pricing zones indicated by shaded areas.

Further information for cyclists:

  • Wooden cycle gate installed along Newton Road – this is an automatic gate which allows larger bikes e.g. cargo bikes easier site access.
  • Cycling safety is promoted by the school with safety briefings, distribution of bike equipment such as lights, bag reflectors etc. Each year we take part in two national road safety initiatives.
  • There are a number of cycle routes to St Faiths – please click on the link below to access Cambridgeshire County Council’s cycle maps.

Parents are asked to ensure that their child/children have appropriate safety equipment including a cycle helmet. No cycling is permitted on the School site and on the pavement outside the front of the School (Trumpington Road) for safety purposes.
